    Derek,

Your review of this project means a lot to me. Thank you for your appreciation of the time and effort that went into it. As you alluded to, human power isn't the easiest way to go about something like this, but I think it s the best way and the most helpful. There will indeed be a volume 2 and hopefully even more judges available to refine the process more.

Congrats and look forward to engaging with you more.

Thanks for dropping by Len. I think the most flattering part of this was that you guys put all the effort into it. A group contemplated it. It represents recognition extremely well.

I look forward to engaging too.

My vote was for Karen Hartline (@khartline). She inspires me and I don't think she knows it.

    Good suggestion, Jenn.

What is UP with FB? It's gotta be me.

    Eff. "Facebook User" is me.

i never ever claim to know who's who. that's why i follow people like you. you pay much better attention to that stuff than i do.

i got something else out of this post though. at one point quite awhile ago now you and i were chatting about your web identity and who you wanted to be, how you wanted to streamline everything into one clear message. i've watched for that since then and i think you pinpointed it here. i think you've had it figured out for some time, which is evidenced by your inclusion on this list among many other indicators, but for some reason, today particularly, i think the Derek you're striving to be shone right on through, clearly and concisely.

congratulations. the recognition is much deserved.

Thank you. That's rewarding, because I'm not really sure I've been deliberate about a tailored 'brand' but I'm very much trying to be present in the world. It's not for recognition either, it's because I find it so rewarding.

continuing, if i may (i'm not so sure this isn't completely off topic), i don't think you need to be deliberate about a tailored 'brand' because i think you've evolved into it. i've been listening to you long enough that i have a rough idea of the things that really catch your attention, the things that are important to you, the things that continually come up in your writing, etc. you're a very genuine person and simply "being present" is all that's necessary. the fact that you're not doing any of it for recognition is just more evidence that you deserve it.

like i said, everything i know of you just came together very nicely here, and maybe it's just my own perception, but again, i find you incredibly deserving of your spot on this list, and this proved it about ten times over.

i'm done singing your praises now. it's not like you asked me to. ;)
